Shares Databases

There are two types of Shares Databases, Normal and Buddy. If BuddyShares? are enabled, your buddies will access the Buddy database. If you enable BuddyShares? without adding shared directories to them, your buddies will not see any files when they browse you (Although they can still download files in your NormalShares?). It's recommended that you share everything in your normal shares in your BuddyShares? as well, so buddies can find the files.

To create shares databases, you'll need to use muscan or musetup (which provides a simple interface for muscan).

To continously update shares databases, run muscand.

To make those changes to your shares accessible to other users, you'll need to ReloadShares.
